WJGO’s Universal Orlando Halloween Horror Nights Contest

OFFICIAL CONTEST RULES

 

These rules apply to WJGO’s Universal Orlando Halloween Horror Nights Contest (“Contest”) conducted by Renda Broadcasting d/b/a WJGO (“Station”). In addition, the General Contest Rules posted at www.1029bobfm.com apply to this Contest. If there is a conflict between the General Contest Rules and the Rules for this Contest, the Rules for this Contest shall control.

 

1. HOW TO ENTER

 

2019. The Contest will begin on October 7, 2019 and end on October 25, 2019.

 

1. To enter, listen to the Station each weekday beginning on October 7, 2019 and ending on October 25, 2019 at approximately 10:50am for the announcement of the daily code work and cue to text. Upon hearing the code word and cue to text, those who text the correct code word to 68255 within 10 minutes will be eligible to will win a prize. The winner of this contest will be selected by random draw. Station is not responsible for any failure of a caller to reach the Station contest line including but not limited to equipment breakdowns or lack of service. Standard message rates apply. Texts will only be accepted at the designated phone number. At the time a winner is randomly selected and notified, entrant will be required to provide all information requested including entrant’s full name, complete address (including zip code), day and evening phone numbers and date of birth in order to be eligible to win. P.O. Boxes are not permitted. In the event that the selected caller is found to be ineligible, another randomly selected entrant will be a prize winner.  There is no limit to the number of times a listener may attempt to text in to win, but a listener may be a prize winner only once.

 

1. There will be up to a total of twenty-five (25) winners selected in the Contest.

 

 

2. ELIGIBILITY RESTRICTIONS

 

1. This Contest is open to all Station listeners who are 18 years of age or older as of the date of entry into the Contest, who are legal US residents and reside in the State of Florida, except where prohibited by law. Winners must possess a valid, government-issued ID and show proof of residency to verify eligibility.

 

 

3. PRIZES

 

1. Up to twenty-five (25) prizes will be awarded. Each prize consists of: Two (2) Universal Orlando Halloween Horror Nights Single Night tickets for Winner and up to one (1) Guest and One (1) Universal Orlando Resort 1-Day Regular Parking access (valid for one (1) vehicle.

 

Each prize has an approximate Fair Market Value (“FMV”) of One Hundred Eighty-Two and 98/100 Dollars ($182.98) and must be used by November 2, 2019 or the prize will be forfeited. Some restrictions may apply.   All elements of the prize must be redeemed at the same time, and no changes will be permitted after confirmation of any redemption.    Winner must be eighteen (18) years of age or older.  Minor guests, if any, must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. Please note that the Halloween Horror Nights event may be too intense for young children and is not recommended for children under the age of thirteen (13). No costumes or masks are allowed. Event occurs rain or shine. Prizes are non-transferable and have no cash value. Any difference between stated FMV and final FMV of prize will not be awarded. Prize consists only of the elements expressly set forth above; no other elements or expenses (including, without limitation, insurance, meals, unspecified ground transportation, phone calls, baggage, gratuities, incidentals, souvenirs, gasoline, etc.) are included in the prize and all such expenses are the sole responsibility of the winner. Theme park tickets are valid during normal operating hours only.  Operating hours and availability of attractions and shows are subject to change without notice.  Some special events may be separately ticketed.  Universal Orlando reserves the right to change the name of all tickets. Unless otherwise indicated, all tickets specifically exclude admission to special or separately ticketed “hard ticket” entertainment events at any of the theme parks, hotels, or within any of the Universal CityWalk venues such as Hard Rock Live® and the Blue Man Group show.

 

The winner(s) will be solely responsible for all taxes and all other fees and expenses not specified herein associated with the receipt and use of the prize(s). The prize(s) is awarded as is. Tickets valid only on the date(s) printed on the tickets. Tickets are not refundable or transferable, and may not be substituted or exchanged for cash or credit at any time, nor will tickets be replaced if lost or stolen. Tickets may not be sold to a third party. If a prize-related event is unable to take place as scheduled, for reasons such as cancellation, preemption, postponement or unavailability, including for weather, or for any reason beyond control of the Station and/or prize provider, their sole responsibility to the winner(s) will be to award the remaining available elements of the prize(s) and no substitution or compensation will be provided for the unawarded element(s) of the prize(s). The Station and/or venue, in their sole discretion, reserve the right to deny entry to or to remove the winner(s) and/or guest(s) if either engages in disruptive behavior or in a manner with intent to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other person at the prize-related event.

 

1. Prizes or prize certificates must be claimed at the office of the Station located at 10915 K Nine Drive, Bonita Springs, FL, 34135 Monday-Friday, during regular business hours. Prize or prize certificate must be claimed within fifteen (15) days of winning. Failure to claim Prize by the specified time will result in forfeiture of the prize. It is the winner’s sole responsibility to claim the Prize or prize certificate within the timeline provided in these Official Rules.

 

 

4. SELECTION OF WINNERS

 

1. Up to twenty-five (25) winners will be selected on-air as described above.

 

1. Odds of winning a Prize via text contest depend in part upon the number and order of texts received.

 

1. Entrants must listen to the Station to win a Prize but do not need to be present to enter or win a Prize.

 

1. Decisions of Station management with respect to the Contest are final.

 

 

5. CONDITIONS

 

1. The Station reserves the right to end any contest or amend these rules upon announcement on air and by publication at www.1029bobfm.com.

 

1. For website contests: By use of the Station’s website and by entering this Contest, entrants agree to the Station’s Terms of Service Agreement and to the use of Personal Information as stated in the Privacy Policy located at www.1029bobfm.com.

 

1. Copies of the written Contest rules and a list of all winners are available during regular business hours at the main studio of the Station, 10915 K Nine Drive, Bonita Springs, FL, 34135, or by sending a self-addressed, stamped envelope to the Station.

 

1. Universal City Development Partners, Ltd. d/b/a Universal Orlando Resort (“Universal Orlando”) is a prize supplier only in this promotion, is not a sponsor of this promotion and is not responsible for the administration of the promotion, the collection of entries, or the selection of any winner. Any disputes, claims, and causes of action against Universal Orlando arising out of or relating to any person’s use of or participation in any prize provided by Universal Orlando shall be resolved by applying the laws of Florida, without regard to conflict of laws provisions therein, and shall be solely and exclusively brought in state or federal courts within Orange County, Florida. Such claims shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action, and all such claims shall be limited to actual out-of-pocket costs incurred, but in no event to include attorneys’ fees.
