2/5 - 10/1 Harp & Thistle Pipe Band - WEDNESDAYS

Grade One Player, Pipe Major Don Goller, leads the Harp & Thistle Pipe Band. The Drum Major is Alex Daniels and Greg Sheridan is the Pipe Sgt. At present the band boasts 24 bagpipers, 10 snare drummers, six tenor and three bass drummers. The band also has it’s own three-man color guard and banner carriers. The student ranks are swelling, with 28 student pipers all keeping the tradition alive. The future holds much promise. The band rehearses every Wednesday night at the Riverside Community Center starting at 6:30 pm. Come listen to the “pipes on the river” or even learn to play them yourself.

2/7 - 12/26 Club Country Line Dance - FRIDAYS

Club Country meets every Friday at the Riverside Community Center on the banks of the Caloosahatchee River at 7:00P.M. there is a line and partner dance teach, followed by "open dancing" until 10pm This club is a volunteer organization. Our dance lessons are usually given by club members or a visiting guest instructor. Music is provided by a DJ.

Club Country's annual membership dues are $10 per person. Our membership begins April 1st and ends March 31st. All our weekly dances are open to the general public. Admission cost, $2 members and $4 non-members.

Please Note: Bottled water and soda are available for sale. You may bring your own snacks and non-alcoholic beverages if you wish. (No alcohol is allowed in the Community Center.)

The monthly Art Walk runs from 6 to 10 p.m. on the first Fridays. Art Walk includes more than a dozen art galleries and art stops and features new art shows, live music, and a traditional after party.

Every Monday evening. Lessons are from 6:30 pm to 7:30 pm and the Social Dance begins at 7:30 pm cost is $5 per person for one or both sessions.

9/23 Tapa Hop 2014

It's Tapa Hop time! Our yearly pub crawl features trolley transportation to six great Fort Myers Beach area restaurants each providing appetizer items or 'tapas' included in the price for the event. The event will also include raffle prizes, grand prizes and a poker run. Don't miss out on the fun!

Dance the night away to great tunes from the 60s and 70s, played by a live DJ. This event is for both singles and couples and separate tables will be designated for singles so they can mingle with other singles. A weekend of military history & family fun filled with: military vehicles, battle reenactments, military museum displays, “Military Meltdown" ROTC & recruit competitions, meet & greet soldiers & veterans, hot rod & classic car display, motorcycle rally, fun events for the kids, live bands, entertainment, food & drinks and much more! Performers include Brian Howe (former lead singer of Bad Company), Southern Rocks Finest, One Night Rodeo, Grayson Rogers Band, Redemption and more. Admission: Sat: $10 per person;  Sun: $7 per person. Parking: $5 donation. Children 12 & under and active or retired military with ID receive free admission. Enjoy live local musicians while you shop the crafting vendors, watch alpaca fiber demonstrations, sample our BBQ specialties, and go for an adventurerous Hayride. Walk an alpaca through the obstacle course, bounce in the bounce house or simply sit back and enjoy the alpaca lifestyle. Admission is free!
